Festival Schedule

30.06.17 –  Day 1:

  • Arriving at the accommodation
  • Meeting with the organizers, and guides
  • Discussing the next day’s programs
  • Option for rehearsal, checking the location of performances
  • Dinner
  • Free program, Disco

01.07.17 – Day 2:

  • After breakfast, rehearsal with the participants
  • Discovering the County of Csongrád, and the City Szeged (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Szeged)
  • Optional tour in Ópusztaszer (National Historical Heritage Park) and sightseeing
    in the third largest city in Hungary, Szeged: Szeged Zoo, Aqua park of Szeged, Anna Thermal Bath, Square Dome, Votive Church, Reök Palace, New Synagogue, Széchenyi Square
  • Performance in the afternoon, the groups make a street music at different locations of the town
  • Dinner, Free program, Disco

02.07.17 – Day 3:

  • After breakfast, free program – wine-tasting, river side, swimming bath, sightseeing tours
  • Afternoon participation of the groups at the Brass Band and Majorette Festival, Gala concert with all groups, presentation by the bands a common song
  • Receiving the gifts and diplomas
  • Dinner, Free program, Disco

03.07.17 – Day 4:

  • After breakfast, departure of the participants

Participation fee:

  • 75 euro/person - youth hostel, apartment (3-4-5 bedded rooms, common bathroom)
  • 89 euro/person - 2* hotel, 2* apartment (2-3-4-5 bedded rooms, own bathroom)
  • 105 euro/person - 4* hotel
    (3 bedded rooms, 40 km from Csongrád, supplement for a double room is 5€/person/day)

Csongrád lies in the heart of the Great Plain, by the riverside of Tisza, at the tributary of Körös.
 
Csongrád has many festivals every year for all kind of art groups - “Blooming Spring” Choir Festival in May, the “Dance and Music” Festival in late July, the “New Wine” Festival in November – from all around the world.
 
This year, we add to this colorful schedule the “Brass Band and Majorette” Festival, which will be hosted by the local Csongrád Brass Band, which was established in 1965 and invited to participate in 20 different countries.
 
During the festival, the participants are able to enjoy the sandbank of the Tisza River, which looks like a seashore, or dip in one of the indoor or outdoor pool of the spa and swimming pool, with slides. Also common rehearsals, street music, marching are in the festival program.
